I am sure I’ve setup energy wrong but I do not have energy monitoring at the panel. So I setup all of my energy monitoring devices in the individual device section as opposed to grid consumption. When I click on Energy dashboard I see nothing but a blank summary page and I have to click energy tab to see anything. Is this the way it is supposed to be?

I'd maybe check again once the january release ships and if it's still the same open a bug
the tabs are new and might be going through some initial rounds of bugfixing
I don't think landing on a blank page would be anyone's intention

Probably a bit of an ignored scenario. For now, you could add every individual device to the grid import as well. Would not give you a true whole house reading but at least some.

both, as individual devices and grid are not summed. That would never make sense. Individual devices is a way to split the grid consumption into the devices + untracked
