I only have the FP2, not thte FP300. It's a WiFi HomeKit device, so first has to be paired to HomeKit to join the correct WiFi, then switch that over from HomeKit to Home Assistant's HomeKit controller.
It generally works nicely, but you have to use the Aqara app to set it up.
Ah yes, sorry. I have FP2 and it often sucks. Sporadius detection when nobody is there, or no detection even when I move inside
Hmm. It might depend on the room. Did you update it to the latest firmware and ran the "nobody's in the room now" configuration?
yes it is updated and I regularly have to reconfigure with their "AI branded algorithm" or whatever that is.
It annoys me sometimes I'm in a room doing something on a PC, moving clearly, and I'm not detected, or sometimes I leave the room 30min ago and it still reports person inside.
It will never go from Clear -> Detected if nobody entered the room, but it may not go to Clear -> Detected if someone enters or it may not go Detected -> Clear when someone leaves.
Are the doors/entries/exits configured correctly on the map?
yes. I've seen similar complaints from other on reddit.
