No log, it just gets stuck and I have to reload esphome from the HA UI or replug it.

Is there a way to at least automate that?

As a workaround I created an automation to reload ESPHome every 5 minutes, but hoping for an actual solution.

This sounds like a bug in the latest firmware (esphome config) versions. Which version are you using?

Latest dev, however I tried with the default firmware from HA's at https://www.home-assistant.io/voice_control/s3_box_voice_assistant/

It looks like a version without sandspin, which is quite stable. For further assistance, you'll need to obtain the device logs at the time of the issue. To do this, the device must be added to esphome.
