Would be easier, if you would post the actual question.

The options are basically monthly or annual recurring payments.

OK, short and sweet,
Dad has Dementia and Parkinsons, Using TV's remotes and well damn near anythign is difficult at best. They (Mom and Dad) are on a Military pension and as such funds are tight and every penny counts. I had HA/Amazon/Logitech Harmony all working uyntil Amazon decided to kill off harmony support so now things are buggered and Dad's getting confused and bent out of shape, Seems Nabu Casa is my only other alternative to make things work again, so does Nabu offer subscription discounts to Veterans who are using this service for real quality of life improvements? Not just as a Hey this is kind of a cool thing to do.

#

That's about as short and sweet as I can make it.

There aren't discounts, sorry. It exists to fund the free and open source projects, Home Assistant, Music Assistant, ESPHome, etc

#

But depending on what you use, there are cheaper or free alternatives. Cloudflared tunnel and a free domain from cloudflare for remote access. The alexa and google integrations can be configured manually

#

There's also the matter bridge solution for google assistant, but i haven't tried that myself

Cheaper and Free usually (Always) mean a lot more hoops to jump thru to make it all work. I need, quick, simple and bullet proof. Even small changes for someone with Dementia can be huge hurdles. Even as simple as "Alexa turn TV to Channel 67" changing to "Alexa turn harmony to channel 67" is an insurmountable thing.

#

But if Nabu Casa does not offer anything that may help, then I have no alternative I guess, I'll have to shell out the subscription fees... Embrace the suck as they say.

You can use the free trial period to see, if it solves your problem.
But HA isn't that "quick, simple and bullet proof" to be a good option to be managed by someone with dementia. You would have to manage it.

It's all good. One has to give it a shot. Thanks for the replies. I'll sign up for the trial and see if I can get it all working again and if so do the annual plan thing for them.
