#Help with Eve Matter Accessories?

I’m trying to setup my first Matter device and I installed the Matter Integration. It looks like the Integration installed correctly but trying to add the accessory keeps failing. Interestingly, I can add the accessory directly to the iOS Home app but I can’t get it into Home Assistant either directly as a new device or using the pairing code from iOS Home app. I also have HomeKit Bridge successfully configured so I’m confused why they are not communicating correctly. I’ve deleted the Matter Integration, restarted HA, and tried to add the accessory again but so far nothing has worked.

Network: Unifi Gateway & AP 5GHz
Pairing Device: iPhone 17 Pro
Bridge: HomePod Gen2 & HomePod Mini
Home Assistant OS 16.3 & Core 2025.12.5 running on a VM within TrueNAS

Any ideas on what I should be looking for or trying?

Are all your devices in the same VLAN? What error messages do you see, when you try to add your EVE devices?

Everything is on the same VLAN & it seems to be a generic timeout “Failed to add the device.”

Do you have IPv6 enabled on your HA machine?

In HA go to Settings > System > Network > Configure network interfaces > IPv6 and set it to Automatic. How is your network interface configured?

I have it configured end2end with GUA (Global Unicast Addresses). From the router to the VLANs to the end devices. It works fine, but it should also be fine to have it working on the relevant machines and devices. They should use IPv6 link-local addresses.

I don’t know what to do with it but from HA > Settings > Network > Zeroconf browser, I do see a result labeled “_matter._tcp.local.”
