reformatted to make it readable:

The Silvercrest ZigBee Gateway is based on the Tuya platform, so you can integrate it into Home Assistant using the Tuya integration:

1 Install the Tuya Integration:

Go to Settings > Integrations in Home Assistant.

Click on Add Integration and search for Tuya.

2 Set Up a Tuya IoT Account:

Register on the Tuya IoT Platform.

Add your Silvercrest ZigBee Gateway and its associated devices in the Tuya app (Smart Life or Lidl Home app).

3 Generate API Keys:

On the Tuya IoT Platform, create a new Cloud Project and enable the ZigBee API.

Link your Tuya account to your Cloud Project.

4 Link Home Assistant with Tuya:

Enter the API keys you generated on the Tuya platform into the Home Assistant Tuya integration.

5 Add Devices:

After completing the integration, the ZigBee devices connected to your Silvercrest Gateway should be visible in Home Assistant.

Does this work?

I'm not sure but I'd generally recommend a coordinator that HA can control directly such as a SLZB-06.

This one?

#

Are cheaper usb hubs ok too tough?

Yes but get the normal PoE model. You need to be more specific on the USB model.

You can also root the gateway btw and free it from the cloud to be used as an local Coordinator

#

If you have a USB to TTL adapter its fairly straightforward
I wanted to do that too but then someone gave me an old ConBee 2 they still had so I hadnt gotten to it yet
but I still might out of curiosity

velvet badger
#

Can I do it without it?

velvet badger
#

This one?

tribal current
#

U need it to interface the Console

tribal current
#

wait Ill send u the link

#

Here

#

But I do not know if it then just works with all Zigbee Devices
Again I havent tried it yet
Cant give guarantees here

Do you think that what I posted will work too?

Does this work?

#

Sure it would

#

But I wouldnt do that personally
I like my stuff off the cloud yk?
Especially considering the lidl home stuff has some connections with china which I am not a big fan of at all

#

I would try the jailbreak or just get a cheap Zigbee Dongle because all of the other Silvercrest stuff just works with any Zigbee coordinator

#

As I said I also have some Silvercrest smart home stuff (a power strip and RGB light) and these you just put them into pairing mode and in Home assistant on the ZHA integration u click add new device and its all there no hassle AT ALL its literally easier to do that than to go out of your way to create some accounts and shit for the intended use with lidl home

#

But in the end its you and your setup so you do you and I think your proposed approach would work too (tho I havent tried it)

Coordinator*

#

You should know that bit about it

tribal current
#

If you just get a Zigbee coordinator dongle like the ZBT-2 then its all good

tribal current
velvet badger
#

Yeah right

velvet badger
#

Do you mean this one?

#

You mean this one right?

velvet badger
#

I will buy this one

velvet badger
#

bumb

#

Do you think this one works?

velvet badger
#

I bricked my old ttl to usb

#

So this one then

velvet badger
#

@tribal current do you know which one is better?

velvet badger
#

Need to decide

#

Which USB to TTL adapter?

tribal current
#

Dont really think there will be any big difference but I actually have the first one too lmao
I still havent tried it, all ik is that it registers as some Chinesium when u plug it in lol
shouldnt matter tho
Ik that you can change the signal level with the first one, idk about the second one

velvet badger
#

So I got into the device and connected to it

#

But no matter what I do I can not access the keys form it

#

It only shows me hex code FFFFFF

#

Is it locked?
