I have govee light strip h6143.

Yeah

#

Does not work

#

Always the issue

pale nova
#

You are really not giving a lot of info, but that's fine. :)
In which step did it stop working for you?
I use govee also.

#

However. I used the govee app to configure the lights, that made them visible in Home Assistant

pale patio
#

I have the app too

#

But I can not find the lights in my home assistant

pale patio
#

It says the following error

pale patio
#

Still have no idea

pale patio
#

Oh I got it

#

But 2 of the light strips do not work

storm hazel
#

is there a way to get Govee lights working in home assistant without the govee app? I've paired these lights to my account in the app in the past but the app is completely broken after testing on two phones, it only crashes or hangs on logo and nothing else. I've tried following 2 tutorials to add Govee lights via the same custom integration adding to hacs custom repo but that add button doesn't do anything, default Govee integration in HACS gives an error, and the default Govee lights local integration before installing HACS didn't find the lights in pairing mode.

Is these some way to integrate bluetooth goovee led strips into home assitant?

I used the govee2mqtt integration for my lights. The resulting device in HA had more entities and options.

pale patio
#

Also for Bluetooth Govee?

gloomy pulsar
#

You're referring to H6143 you mentioned above? That looks like they're WiFi, too. Govee2MQTT doesn't support BLE, so if you want to use bluetooth, you'd need another solution, any reason why wifi won't work?

pale patio
#

No H6125

#

only bluetooth

gloomy pulsar
pale patio
#

is that on hacs?

gloomy pulsar
#

It Is

pale patio
#

do not see it tough

gloomy pulsar
pale patio
#

How can i add it πŸ˜„

gloomy pulsar
#

dotsvertical -> Custom Repositories

pale patio
#

got it it is installing

#

how do i activate bluetooth one host device?

gloomy pulsar
#

Do you already have a BT adapter installed/configured for HA?

pale patio
#

The server has one yes

#

but i think not configured

#

how can i do thatr?

pale patio
#

Do internel bluetooth m.2 also work?

gloomy pulsar
#

You're sure it's not already configured? (You'd see Bluetooth in your integrations) What kind of system set up do you have? HAOS on bare metal? Something else?

pale patio
#

i guess this one?

gloomy pulsar
#

Sure, looks like whatever you've got for an internal adapter is configured

pale patio
#

can not find my modell there tough

oak oxide
#

If you're using the bluetooth on the nuc, it has a short range. Make sure the light is close

pale patio
#

Oh No the light is not in the nearπŸ˜…

#

What can I do?

oak oxide
#

move the light near, bluetooth has a short range

#

that's your only option seeing that you don't have a wifi one

#

FYI bluetooth is hands down one of the worse protocols to use for smart devices for this reason

pale patio
#

Yeah

haughty spoke
pale patio
#

So this one works fine?

oak oxide
#

are you willing to build and flash your own hardware?

#

that esp32 should work

storm crescent
#

if i had to go the bt route to control the lights, i would cut off the entire controller and hook it up to a e.g. quinled dig2go or dig-uno. That way you would control it over wifi (or ethernet if having the eth shield) with wled in haos

#

no more issues with bt or govee..

pale patio
#

50 Euros πŸ˜…

#

If I understand correctly I only just have to plug the esp32 into my pc and flash it?

oak oxide
#

Yes, you just need the ESP32, flash it with a configuration that allows bluetooth proxy, and then put it somewhere near your device. It can be plugged in via USB-C charger.

#

You don't need to go the quinled route, especially if you don't plan to run LED strips off the device.

storm crescent
#

it's about led-strips as op said

oak oxide
#

but he's using govee LED strips...

#

he already has the hardware

storm crescent
#

fair..

#

i just cant advise users to use that with bt, but that's me πŸ˜‰

haughty spoke
pale patio
#

Why is that better? Do I have to flash it?

haughty spoke
pale patio
#

This one fine?

oak oxide
#

That's a dev kit, no

pale patio
#

Oh what is the difference?

#

This one then

pale patio
#

Can I use this one also to convert BT 5.0 in ZigBee?

oak oxide
#

I think at this point you should just buy the one you found for a dollar and try it out and see if it works for you.

#

worse case, you are out a dollar

pale patio
#

I will buy this one then

pale patio
#

I bought it and it arrived and it works

#

But i can not find out how i can change the colours

oak oxide
#

if it shows up as a light, you change it through the light in HA

pale patio
#

Yeah but If I want to change the colour of the light it switches back to the original colour

#

Govee BLE Light Advanced

#

This is the integration

pale patio
#

I am using the Govee BLE Light Advanced integration in Home Assistant.
When I try to change the color of the light, the color does not change at all.
The light stays on the previous color, with no visible or lasting change.
Brightness and on/off control work, but color changes are ignored and the light remains in its old color.

That's a custom integration? Doesn't look like it's one of the built in govee ones. You'll need to take it up with the custom integration owner

pale patio
#

Yeah a custom

oak oxide
#

Likely a bug in that custom integration

pale patio
#

They said that they do not work with it anymore
