my heater thermostats drained their battery to empty in one day and only one of them, which is the exact same model as the rest) mamaged to keep its battery at 100%
i am using the following device: https://www.zigbee2mqtt.io/devices/CoZB_dha.html, as it has full Z2M support and thats basically all of my reasoning behind it... after installing all of them around the house i set them to 12,5°C and left. after looking at the dashboard one day later i saw all but one thermostat at 0% battery and most of them didnt even regulate the heat down to 12,5°C, one heated the room to a toasty 29°C, thats why i had to drive back and install new batteries, which i guess where old empty ones because the battery % only went up by 5%... but i digress.
i know my zigbee network isnt per say the 'best' but all thermostats have an LQI or around 127±5 so i dont think it was the radio that drained the batteries that fast. the valves are also not stuck in any way... they all move fine.
is this a common issue with this thermostat or AA powered zigbee devices in general or am i maybe missing something crucial here?

Differences in connectivity and polling rates can make an incredibly huge difference in battery runtime of those devices

#

these measurement values are poor and unreliable at best in general

so what your saying is i should simply ignore these warnings and continue using the devices as if they where at 100%?

They will stop working when they are empty, then the battery needs to be replaced

Checking that they connect properly is somewhat important tho
