I feel like I am just not completely understanding how Thread works. I would like to use the Ikea Dirigera's existing network and control it. I can see the network in the Thread page on HA but see now way to join or manage it. Is this expected? If not how do I do this?
I've seen other options for joining Dirigera to OpenThread but I'm trying I think to do the opposite.

Matter is what does the actual control. If you already have the thread network established with the devices added to ikeas app then you need to share the matter control code to ha and add as matter device. (Should be some option in device info in the IKEA app). If you haven't added them to any app yet when you scan the matter code make sure to click the HA app and it should work.
