#Wyze switch 30 second+ latency

I have a room with some smart bulbs, so a while back (before their were Matter switches) I bought a Wyze smart switch and put it into smart mode. Then I setup a automation in HA to turn toggle the lights if the switch is toggled. The problem is, it seems it has like 30 seconds or more latency in updating the switches state. I am using the HACS SecKatie/ha-wyzeapi integration, is it only polling it like every 30s? Is their a way I can increase the polling? It's really annoying having to sometimes wait in the dark for 30 seconds before my lights come on...

best thing you could do is check for wifi issues, channel, strength etc. Even better, go zigbee 😉

can use wifi-analyzer on phone to check wifi enviroment

Also, if data is going to wyze cloud, this will add latency too, try to avoid if possible
