I have a ZWA-2 adapter on order to replace my zooz usb stick I plan on connecting to my Home Assistant Green via USB for my main house. I also have two metal outbuildings on the property (out of range of Zwave LR) that share a wired lan network. Can I run another ZWA-2 adapter in each of those buildings that connect back to my home assistant instance over my network?

I see this article about running ZWA-2 with POE (https://www.home-assistant.io/blog/2025/10/13/portable-z-wave-with-wifi-and-poe/) so that part makes sense, but can one Home Assistant connect to multiple ZWA-2 adapters?

Home Assistant

Introducing Portable Z-Wave, an experimental firmware that lets you use Z-Wave over the built-in Wi-Fi or even add PoE.

From what I understand, the problem isn't so much adding a second (or third) ZWA-2 to HA per se.
Rather, the problem is that one instance of Z-Wave JS will only support one (primary) controller. So you have to install multiple Z-Wave JS addons to HA, which is not supported by default. If you don't care much for the differences between the "Z-Wave JS" and the "Z-Wave JS UI" addon, you can install both to use two controllers. Installing another instance of the same addon is a little more involved but still doable. There is a thread on the forum here: https://community.home-assistant.io/t/ways-to-run-a-2nd-add-on-for-zwave-js-ui/819042/10
