I am quite new to Home Assistant, but I have used other platforms prior. I have connected my diregera gateway with Home Assistant, and things seem to work great, except that the newer IKEA Matter devices does not show in home assistant, only in the IKEA app.

Does anyone know what might be the problem?

For matter devices, you should add them directly to home assistant via the matter integration. This works even if they're already separately connected to the ikea hub.

#

(you should be able to "share" the devices from the ikea app to add them to home assistant)

#

the instructions mention apple home or google home, but it should work in the same way to share from ikea too

I am not sure this is the correct guide. My IKEA diregera is already connected with Home Assistant as a matter bridge, but the new matter devices is not included for some reason.

#

If I try to add them as a device that is already in use, I need a setup code to the Ikea controller, but why when it is already connecte.

the matter bridge functionality is how the dirigera hub is able to expose zigbee devices to home assistant

#

but native matter devices work differently

#

they aren't bridged, instead they are added directly.

#

you should be able to "share" the native matter devices from the ikea app, which will generate a new setup code to use for adding to home assistant.

#

afterwards, the device will be available to home assistant and via the ikea app.

They all worked right when added, but now they stopped updating.. Any reason why this would happen. They are stiill updating in the IKEA app.
