The following integrations have been removed as they are incompatible with the currently supported installation methods:

    Bluetooth Tracker
    CUPS
    Decora
    dlib Face Detect
    dlib Face Identify
    Eddystone Temperature
    GStreamer
    Keyboard
    LIRC
    Pandora
    Raspberry Pi Camera
    SMS
    Snips
    TensorFlow

What options do people relying on those integrations have? Is it time to fork HA?

these were removed as part of the install method deprecation which had a large notice period for people to switch to alternate methods.

if you want to create a fork and reintroduce them along with the install methods required to make use of them then that's great and shows the awesomeness of opensource.

if you have moved to a still supported install type and want advice on direction to go to replace the functionality of one of the above then you should ask that question.

As an example, a replacement for the LIRC integration would probably to move the relevant code to run standalone and be packaged as a docker container (or HAOS add-on), and have it connect to home assistant via mqtt or a new integration.

Hi,
Please guide me on what a suitable replacement for the SMS integration is.(using usb gsm-modem such as sim800)
A replacement that is truly as stable as the original Home Assistant SMS integration, can send SMS messages to multiple numbers simultaneously, and gives me confidence that it won’t crash.

Honestly, the removal of the SMS integration was a huge shock to me, and I still haven’t been able to fully understand it.
Over the past few months, I’ve tried the available methods and add-ons, but each one has had its own issues.

This removal has caused me — and many others like me — to be unable to migrate to version 2025.12, and this version has become a nightmare for us.
