Hi everyone,

I’ve been using Home Assistant for about one month, including Nabu Casa Cloud.

Today my Nabu Casa subscription expired. I renewed it successfully, but after the renewal the Nabu Casa dashboard shows that my Home Assistant is not connected to any account.

In Home Assistant itself:
• The Cloud integration is enabled
• When I disable the Cloud toggle, I can see the Nabu Casa token
• However, the remote access URL does not work
• The Nabu Casa page still says that no account is connected

The cloud connection worked fine before the subscription expired.

The main problem is that I am away from home for several more weeks and currently have:
• ❌ no VPN
• ❌ no other remote access to my Home Assistant instance

As a fallback, most of my devices are Shelly, so I can still control them via the Shelly app, but I would really like to keep using Home Assistant remotely.

My questions:
1. Is there any way to fix or re-link Nabu Casa Cloud remotely without local access to Home Assistant?
2. Why would the Nabu Casa Cloud connection be removed or disconnected after renewal, even though it worked before?
3. Is there any alternative remote method I could enable in this situation (without VPN and without local network access)?

Any help or explanation would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance!

The way the connection works, there's not a way to reconnect Home Assistant to Nabu Casa from the outside. Someone would need to be locally available to HA to reboot the system or otherwise check why it is not connected.

log out of nabu and reboot (not restart) after reboot log back in to nabu and give it a couple of minutes.
