I've read this help article and understand that I can either "setup a new network" or ground a pin and update the firmware as my two options. Does setting up a new network mean that I'm going to have to configure all new dashboard items and schedules because the devices will no longer be valid? Or will the devices all be rediscovered and sort them selves out on my dashboard and schedules? If they sort them selves out I'll just create a new network, but if they don't I may try the grounding the pin to see if I can upgade the firmware to avoid all the extra setup.

Everything will start from scratch. If you're using device_id you'll need to recreate those. If you're using entity_id, you can rename the new entities to the same ID as old ones and everything will continue to work.
