Since the update to v12.1, I've been running into problems with PE. I'm no longer able to use the 'stop' command to halt the process, and the streaming output often freezes or fails to complete.

rebooted PE and HAOS already? Flash PE from PC chrome/edge browser using: https://esphome.github.io/home-assistant-voice-pe/

Install firmware on Home Assistant Voice PE.

Hold button when selecting com port

Also you could first try a factory reset holding button until PE tells you factory reset is done.
