Hi all, I'm looking for some advice on Tuya Zigbee devices; Do they need a tuya hub/account or can they just pair to a ZHA network? I have 2 Tuya devices at the moment using the "Smart Life" app and the Tuya Integration in Home Assistant but one of the devices I'm looking at (link below) seems to say it could just pair to a Zigbee network - unless I'm misunderstanding something.

First of all, wow I never knew such a device existed and that's cool
Second, it should work with ZHA but depends a lot on which coordinator you have since Tuya devices can be a little flaky and non-standard
Anecdotally my Tuya devices (contact sensors, thermometers, smart buttons) work just fine with my Zigbee2MQTT setup and SLZB-06 Zigbee coordinator
I have actually solved my PC boot issue with a Tuya Zigbee finger bot which just presses the power button for me 🤣

Yeah it was an interesting find, I've seen a few other versions on Amazon but they're all Tuya devices and seem to be pretty much identical.
I've considered switching to Z2M but not made the move yet.
Yeah my NAS motherboard claims to support WOL but for the life of me I can't get it to work so I've currently just got it on a TP-Link smart plug

WOL never ever worked for me, hence my workaround 🙂
