It's weird, but I have several HA Voice PE and one of them has stopped reproducing assist voice responses.
It's weird because it still playes the wake up sound, and can reproduce music just fine. All my other HA Voice PE do play responses from assist when spoken to. And I use the same pipeline with the same STT (piper) on all devices.
I also don't see anything suspicious in the HA logs.
Any clue?

do you have any special network setups? VLANS etc? that could be misbehaving.
Probably best place to start is to manually reinstall the firmware by plugging into pc and and using THIS tool.
if still having an issue then look at the live device logs using the ESPHome web tool to see if the device logs reveal anything.
