I have searched for "bluetooth" or "bluetooth pairing" but no useable results.
My question is: how do I pair bluetooth devices? I see no option for it.
The adapter seems to be working fine on a non-virtualized HA installation.
The BT adapter seens nearby devices with MAC and name jst fine, but absolutely no pair button/option anywhere.
They also dont appear under discovered devices.

what devices are you trying to use?
you don't really "pair" devices...
okay so I cannot integrate a bluetooth victron solar charge controller with HA?
why having a bluetooth integration in the first place if I cant use devices via BT?
the only thing it ever saw was a weird "ibeacon" that I ignored
add integration and select Victron then VictronBLE
but all the other BT devices from the list, I can copy its data but thats it
sadly it says no devices found if I select VictronBLE
there are some instructions in the documentation here - https://www.home-assistant.io/integrations/victron_ble
looks like you have to enable stuff via the victron app
BLE is not the same as a full paired bluetooth connection.
yes they are both bluetooth but work slightly differently
Instant Readout is disabled on my Victron device, I can enable that
but the VictronBLE would prolly still say nothing found?
Im gonna enable that
once its enabled it may just auto detect and pop up as a device which you can add (where it asks for the encryption key)
Be right back, gonna type the encryption key in and hopefully it works
thanks man!
I will bother you again if I still ahve troule 👍🏽
no worries. good luck with it.
thanks again!
seems to work
