Anyone aware of an input button that has a value?
My use case is I have a display with icons on it, each one would trigger a different album on my kids smart speaker. Rather then using multiple input buttons attached to different automations that are all the same other then the album value I would like a single usable automation that would just grab the album uri from the button value.
Is this possible or am I think about it the wrong way?

buttons don't have values, you might want to look at the dropdown helper

you can create the input dropdown and a button, and in your UI when button is pressed, select next dropdown and use this as an event

You don’t need to create any entity. Just use a button card (or any number of other cards or badges) and set the tap_action to play whatever album you want. Or if you have a script, you can have the tap_action call the script and each button can pass a different variable to the script to play a different album. This is more of a #1284965988642590891 question.

The dashboard is actually an nspanels with custom firmware so it needs to be a button entity
