alexa media player install problem

I'm rebuilding my system from scratch and I'm trying to add alexa media player, but it keeps saying my authenticator app code is wrong.

have you considered trying the newer core integration Alexa Devices instead?

its worth giving a go, it does require MFA on your amazon account though

it was added in 2025.6 its had a few issues. specially when amazon mess with stuff and brakes it. but its pretty stable and more reliably updated.

Hey man, I'm sorry but I can't reproduce a step to install it. I've been to the page to add an app, but I don't remember how to get there again. I already have an app, but I need to get back to that page to get the key. I can never get to "backup methods" in the installation process. That isn't shown on my login and security > 2-step verification page.
