#ISO: ZigBee device with tilt/axis support in ZHA?

Does anyone here know of a ZigBee sensor device which supports axis readings in HA (specifically ZHA)?

For context, I have a cheap space heater that I've used for years, but it doesn't have a tilt safety on it. I already have it on a smart outlet to treat it as a generic thermostat, so I thought I'd stick a sensor to the side just in case it gets toppled over I can have HA shut off the switch/thermostat.

I know there are garage door sensors, but I don't know how sensitive they are, or if they expose the axis entities directly. I do have some older SmartThings contact/multi sensors which have axis data, but for some reason ZHA does not expose it, and I really don't want to migrate over to Z2M yet, that's a future project.

Wifi is fine, I've just never seen a wifi sensor like that before so I didn't think that would be an option.

would require a bit of setup with ESPHome but it shouldn't be too bad to get working.

you could also get a esp32 relay board with extra pins exposed and wire it to that and use the relay to replace the smart outlet. then you could have it all trigger on the device to cut power even if network/ha is down because the automation is all on device.

these suggestions might be a bit more effort than you were thinking mind.

You could use an Esp32 and attach a magnet to the base of the heater and a reed switch on the floor/near. once the contact opens power turn off.

You may want to see if the axis data shows up in the zha_event for your multipurpose sensor. It looks like it's a common complaint that state isn't actually reporting on more just the ST/Aeotec sensors on ZHA

If it shows up in zha_event you could always create a triggered template sensor to persist that
