I recently picked up 10 linknlink emotion ultra presence sensors from amazon during the black friday sale. I have opened one up to try it out but i'm having some strange behavior. I was able to get it set up in the linknlink app, got it connected to my wifi, set up mqtt and everything just worked as expected with home assistant. the detection was a bit finicky at first but after some playing with positioning and rejection zones, I got it to the point where it could see me anywhere in my home office and detect my presence in the app. looking at my home assitant dashboard, everything seemed to update via mqtt within about a second (more than good enough for me)
as a test case for a few days, I set up a pair of quick automations to turn off the govee smart lights that I already had set up and working properly 1 minute after no presence is detected and to turn them on if presence is detected (pretty basic stuff, no way to mess it up).
so with everything configured, I quit the app on my phone, set my phone on my desk, and tested the automations. i left the room, after a minute the lights turned off as expected, i entered the room and the lights came on - brilliant...
I leave the room to go eat dinner and hang out in the living room for a while, then i decide to go back into my home office, sit down in my chair right next to the sensor, and the lights didn't turn on... curious i opened my home assistant dashboard, found that it wasn't detecting presnce or people but it was still updating temp sensors and oddly it was still showing the data for target one changing (with reasonable coordinents for my current position). I moved and it updated the coordinates reasonably but still it says no person detected and no presence detected.
HOWEVER, to troubleshoot further, i pulled out my phone to troubleshoot further, my phone said that the sensor detects motion, person, and presence, a few seconds later home assistant detects presence...
what do I do!?
