This started less than a month ago, but whenever I launch the app now it usually sits on a blank screen and I have to force kill it and relaunch for it to (maybe) properly connect.

Same issue here, started after updating my HA docker instance to 2025.12.0 Minimizing and then maximising the app on Android is the workaround for me. Device: Fairphone 5, companion app 2025.11.4-full (19134)

I had that as well. I found that my LAN / remote URL setup was messed somehow. Had to fix/re-add internal URL and set Home Wifi

I also have the same problem with the android app. When I kill the app and restart it it directly connect. Can it be a problem with a authentication token?
