#Changing entity power on state fails
1 messages · Page 1 of 1 (latest)
you are going to need to give some more information...
what device? what integration? how are you calling the action?
i already tried turning it on/off
IMMAX neo smart plug,
using ZHA and im trying to change the power on state from HA console
since the default is off, so i ncase of power outage if the plug is turned off, it will stay off, which should be prevented by setting it to Last State which would normally auto turn it on when power is delivered again
i have 3 of these
on 1 i could hcnage it no problem
and the other 2 just fail to communicate
this was OK
how does your zigbee mesh look?
do you have a bunch of devices that do work and its specifically these that dont or are these your only zigbee devices?
idk what is a zygbee coordinattor tho
cause the one on left shoudl be the ZHA dongle
idk wth is this
and why is the display plug the "middle point"
the "Ziarovka" are just lighbulbs they are physically tturned off (with a normal switch)
it seems that that is a 2nd coordinator perhaps just in router mode? it looks like its a critical part of the mesh and missing which is likely why you are having issues.
i dont have anything else in tho
does that device show in your zha integration device list?
the red one ? no
i have no clue where it comes from
the one on left is the right one :
hm it seems its the same thing
somehow
somehow you seem to have gotten an extra device as a critical part of your mesh and now its gone.
as that is definitely the dongle
but i can confirm the dongle works
cause ican manipulate every other device i nthe network
and i just connected like 5 new devices today using ZHA
its more that this thing:
shoudlnt even show up o nthe mesh as coordinator
coz the ZHA is the coordinator
is the zigbee mac on the zbt-1 and the seemingly random extra device the same? you blurred them out.
no
i saw it wrong its not the same thing
the Blue square is the Dongle and its the ZHA that is correct
and that is working
then you have somehow grown a device
the Red square i have no clue wth is it
perhaps a neighbour had a device and you acidently hyjacked it and they only just noticed?
right so we need to remove that from the mesh either way
probably a coordinator in router mode
so you can remove a device from the dev tools
dev tools -> actions
call the zha.removeaction
it will ask for the mac of the device. copy that in from the unknown device
well lemme do a backup first cause im quite scared 😂
fair enough
hopefully your network will repair itself after removing it but in theory you might have to repair devices that previously depended on the now missing device.
nice, with some luck stuff might stabilise
will try to restrt the system so it reloads everything
hmmm
seems like 1 of my ikea devices has too weak of a zygbee signal to function properly
the windw is closed yet it says its open:
i just changed to a new batter jus tin case, same thing
which is funny
cause in mesh it clearly shows its connected
or maybe its faulty, idk
looks like it never worked:
is it senting the automation signal of window open tho LOL
that is fcked
could try re-pairing it
yea will play around tmrw
maybe add some more router devices (smart plugs probably easiest) to flesh out the mesh
ill try to get a motion sensor LED light that goes directly into the outlet, in the hallway which can be a "bridge"
also worth looking at upgrading the zbt-1 to the zbt-2 at some point as that will help receiving from weaker signals.
oh theres a new one ?
yes, it just released - https://www.home-assistant.io/connect/zbt-2
i just started using zigbee on my home network with it and its been great.
for now il lstay with zbt1 tho and get thelight to bridge the gap
theres like prob 10-11m distance between the Parasoll from IKEA and my ZHA dongle
so yea
oh yeah for sure. if you have a working set up then there is no need to rush out and upgrade but if you have further issues or are in the market for an upgrade anyway then its worth looking at.
i myself am an absolute noob and beginner
mine sits nicely on my rack 🙂
damn that looks like a nice home server
