I wanted to make it so if an IKEA parasol sensor goes OPEN, aka windows is open, the HVAC heating turns OFF completely or changes temp to low. But fdor some reaso ni goofed around with the settings of the automation and nothing works at all (wether i add duration or not doesnt change a thing) ... any ideas? Any help please? :(

is the sensor changing from closed to open? If you create it while it's already open, nothing will happen

yea ik, ig the device i use for the heatregulator is dogsh*t ... i played around with the setting for over 1 h the only solutio nthat works is on Open/close change the MAX and MIN heating value
the regulator ignore any kind of command apart of temp change, i cannot turn it off even manually, neither if i sent a signal directly tothe HVAC controler to change from Heeating to OFF.. it doesnt react whatsoever
wether i do it manually or via automation
so my guess is that whoever isthe maker of this regulator, locked this sh*t down tight, and despite HA recognizes the entities, it cannot control them whatsoever, forcing the user to buy their dedicated HUB to gain full controll ... >_>

is there a way to check a devices config and its allowed values ?
also are all these the only entities i can set that appear here? or are there hidden ones ?
im baffled how tf does a thermostat not have a "Set temp to"
