Best way to handle grid power values being opposite of energy dashboard expectations

Hey all, my grid sensors show a positive value when exporting and negative when importing, this appears to be the opposite of what the energy panel expects:
I was thinking maybe a helper entity that inverts the value, is this a sensible approach?
