Has anyone experienced these sensors just dieing randomly? I have checked the battery with a multimeter and it's still reading 3V so it's not the battery. It doesn't respond to the button press or the button press-hold at all. This is the second sensor in this location of the house to die in a year. I suspect it's because it's on a door that catches afternoon sun and the internal temperature sensors would often get up to 50c+, but other sensors in hot locations like the garage haven't died yet.

If anyone has experienced this? Is there any way to recover them at all?

(Anecdotal) I had one just straight up die on me too. Maybe a year or two old, in a climate controlled room, no direct sunlight. No response to confirmed good batteries, or trying to press the reset button. Just dead. Only happened once (so far).

I have a few of them and they sometimes stop communcation with Home Assistant but I can re-pair them and they will work again for some time.
In my case it seems, the connection is lost when there is no state change over a longer period.
