#Shelly PM Mini Gen3, unable to enable the "Current" entity.

I am new-ish to HOA. I have a few devices/integrations up and working. I installed today a Shelly PM Mini Gen3, all seems to work except I can't "enable" the entity "Current". I was able to enable "Power", "Voltage", "Frequency", but not "Current". It shows "This entity is disabled." I click to enable but nothing happens.

I believe HOA is up to date. And the Shelly PM Mini Gen3 as well.
HOA Installation method: Home Assistant OS
Core: 2025.11.3
Supervisor: 2025.11.5
Operating System: 16.3
Frontend: 20251105.1

The Shelly PM Mini Gen3 fw: 20250924-062710/1.7.1-gd336f31

Does not show new update when checking for new one, so I assume it is up to date ( I did update it before adding the device to HOA).

#

when trying to enable it, I get the pop up message "The enabled entities will be added to Home Assistant in 30 seconds", but then it never get enabled.

Thanks. No no specific reason. I am new to all this and it is my first Shelly. I was just "playing" with it and see how all that works and stumble on that.
To me it seems an HOA issue as it does list the entity just can't enable it, it's not like it is missing which in that case would be the Shelly not reporting it.
I can read it fine in the Shelly GUI (web). It's there. HOA just seems to have a hick up.
I have 2 more of those, that I will install. I'll see if they/HOA act(s) the same.

So. The second Shelly PM Mini Gen3 I installed came up all the way, no issue. And I still can't enable the "Current" entity of the first one.

Is there a way ( I am sure there is I must look) to remove/forget the first device (and thus all its entities) and re-adopt/add it back in ?
Maybe that will do the trick ?

you can delete the device from the shelly integration page. and re add it yeah. you could also factory default the device and reconfigure it before readding

  • reset the Shelly to factory default
  • deleted the device from HOA
  • configured the Shelly by connecting directly via Wifi to its GUI, once on the house SSID, finished configuration over the lan.
  • added to HOA

Et voilà. All the entities are enabled. So really, no idea what the issue was.
