have you tried a different usb cable?
then try to flash using https://toolbox.openhomefoundation.org/home-assistant-connect-zbt-2/install/ from chrome or edge browser
Install the latest Zigbee or Thread firmware on your ZBT-2
I had not thought of that, so thank you, but I just tried and no change.
That's the site I was referring to. Neither Firmware makes a difference.
do you have anything else plugged into your green?
I do not.
what version off home assistant is it running?
Core: 2025.8.3
OS: 11.5
I've checked System > Updates and there are no updates available.
do you have a terminal addon installed by chance?
I do not.
Sorry, I'm very new and way out of my depth right now.
do you have the ability to plug a monitor and keyboard into the green?
Sure
if you do that you should be able to see the ha CLI
you can then run
ha core update --version 2025.11.3
which will direct it to grab the specifc version (which is the latest)
but your OS also looks to be out of date
so can also try running
ha os update --version 16.3
I bought the HA a while ago, but didn't do anything with it until now. So this makes sense.
I got you, sometimes updates get "stuck" hopefully after getting everything up to date they will prompt you on updates again
Core update is processing now.
with the os being quite old if it doesn't work we might have to do it in stages.
even if you get core on latest you definetly want to get OS updated too to avoid other issues
awesome no problem, most of the time HA is very stable and works. bit off a pain this is an early impression but feel free to come and ask if you have any other issues.
good and fast troubleshoot here Michael
sometimes you just gotta learn how to kick it in just the right way 🙂
