Hello, I am trying to connect my Nest speaker to Home Assistant using only the speaker. I want it to be the output for the voice assistant. Could you please help me find out how to do that?

it shows up on my dashboard and only allows me to play the radio. I downloaded a mp3 file but that doesnt play. I also wanted to use it for assist microphone but it doesnt detect there.

You can connect cast player to Music Assistant, and use MA player instance in HA. Full functionality.
But don't expect microphone. All in all it's closed-ecosystem device.
