Im having trouble pairing a Thread device to Home assistant.
And after trying for days, im running out of ideas and could really use an outside perspective.
The most frustrating part is that I did have the lock paired successfully for a day, but messed it up when reset the thread network.
I have a ZBT-2 and a Aqara U200 Lock with Matter over thread support.
This is the first and only Thread device I have so, cant test with anything else.
My setup:
HA
- ZBT-2 is setup as a Thread adapter and availible in MZ devices
- OpenThread Border Router add-on is running with the ZBT-2 as Device
- Thread is configured. the HA- tread is the preferred network and used for IOS credentials
- HA has an IPv6 Address
Network
- Im using VLAN for my IOT devices, but HA is also on this network as well as the Iphone when im trying to pair
- Multicast DNS has been enabled for the network.
- I have disabled private Address and limiting of Ip address tracking on the Iphone for this network
Process
- I have synced the Thread Creds from the Iphone companion app
- When I go to add a Matter device I am able to scan the QR code
- It confirm that i want to add the device to Home Assistant
The OTBR log will show
