Hi all, I'm getting into HA for the first time. I'm pretty techie but new to this side of things. A friend has Control4 which he dislikes and I'm trying to see if we could replace it with HA. He has Lutron lighting. HA detects it and requests a barcode / PIN pairing code type thing. I looked around all his devices but couldn't find the code. I then decided to jailbreak C4 and now we have access via Composer. But the C4 Lutron integration seems to use a username and password as opposed to the pairing code that HA asked for. Can anyone give me a clue about how to find the code so we can have Lutron goodness via HA?
Annoyingly, there's no HA box on site (yet) so I can't confirm now, but I'll be there tomorrow (my timezone is GMT) and I'll be able to write more. FWIW I didn't see mention of Homekit but I can at least come back with stuff like:
- Names on hardware boxes
- Name of device as seen by C4
- Name of device as seen by HA
Still I thought to start the ball rolling now with this thread because someone will probably have a clue what I'm (not) getting right just from reading this.
