I started a small business in my area where I install home assistant for people to convert their homes to smart homes one product at a time or a whole bunch at once.
The biggest thing when going to market that keeps irking me on my own personal smart home is this — I set my dashboard I create as default, overview goes away, then randomly I open the app again at some point and Overview is the default again. Rinse and repeat the process.
This isn’t good for business when setting up tablets or mobile dashboards for customers. I can’t have it keep reverting to overview (especially if the customer isn’t that tech savvy) and then have to keep setting a default dashboard. I know I wouldn’t be sold on a product if you told me I had to keep doing that.
So has anyone found an actual workaround to always keep the dashboard you want as default (sure, with the occasional like major home assistant updates where you have to change it back. Once in a while is fine) ?
TLDR: Any way to actually keep a dashboard as default for a device rather than Overview reappearing every so often?
