I have 2 Schlage Encode z-wave locks. They work fine with the 600 series Aeotec controller. I had upgraded a few years back to the 700 and had issues with inovelli nodes constantly going dead and never could get the schlage locks to stay connected. I switched back to the 600 and all my issues resolved. While I admit my desire to upgrade is 100% just wanting "new hotness" and I should just stick with what isn't broke, I wanted to see if anyone has experience specifically with the zwa-2 and the schlage encode locks.

I find 700 series controllera have been hit or miss, especially the Aeotec one which measurably degrades after just a few meters line of sight for me.
800 series is significantly better in that regard, especially the ZWA-2

I have 4 of these locks (Schlage just replaced 3 of them due to finish issues). So far, i'm having a terrible time getting the ZWA-2 and the locks to behave reliably. One lock, everything works. the 2 others join my network, but zwave functionality (i.e. setting pin codes, lock/unlock) don't work.
