I'm trying to find a product that I think should exist. All the functions of a smart plug (maybe minus mesh relay) that I can hard wire next to my electrical panel.
This device would monitor power and allow me to open and close the circuit. This would allow me to monitor and shut off any circuit. I see devices that allow opening and closing the circuit but no monitoring. I could use that in conjunction with a CT clamp, but I'd prefer a single device solution.
There are smart outlets that would serve for anything that plugs in, but I would like to monitor and control my hot water tank, heat pump, etc. which are all wired directly to the panel.
Does this product exist? Possible DIY project?
