#Best bulb to change Kelvin and lumens in the future?

My outdoor garage light fixture is shown in the picture. I'm putting in a zwave dimmer switch today that controls this light. This is the only switch that controls this light fixture if that matters.

I'd like to be able to adjust the bulbs brightness (which I can do if it's dimmable as the switch allows for it) and even the Kelvin in the future.

If I already have the zwave switch to install, am I "just" looking for a bulb that can modify it's Kelvin via HA?

If so, which bulbs are good for this? I would like to be able to adjust between 2500K-5000K to experiment.

I don't have any specific hardware recommendations, but i'll note that in general you should not put a smart bulb behind a dimmer (smart or not). all smart bulbs that support color temp changing can also dim themselves, and they require constant power to operate.

#

(in particular, smart bulbs will generally not dim when you attempt to use an external dimmer on them; they'll just stay lit until they don't have enough power, then start flickering or turn off)

#

unfortunately, smart bulbs is not really something that z-wave has a good selection of, and most smart bulbs are only rated for indoor use

I would either pick a smart switch or a smart bulb
both doesn't make any sense

in your case since you want to be able to control brightness and hue you need a smart bulb and power 24/7
