#Ideas for integrating a thermostat

Hi, I just finished connecting my heater via ebusd to Home Assistant and now have a lot of mqtt sensors and inputs.
I want a really simple way to display a thermostat like https://www.home-assistant.io/integrations/generic_thermostat/ but this one only accepts a switch for control and I need to use a numeric input. No need to calculate anything, that’s all handled from my boiler. Would you use a hacs card to have that only in the UI? I would prefer to have a climate entity?

I'm installing a Vaillant heater that doesn't have any available integration with HA, but I know has an ebus comm channel. How did you integrate your heater?

If it has ebus it has already an integration: https://www.home-assistant.io/integrations/ebusd/

Home Assistant

The ebusd integration allows the integration between eBUS heating system and Home Assistant.
