#Make light switch control smart bulbs?

If you want something that's easy to wire into all manner of 120/230V things and unlikely to set your house on fire, Shelly is largely where it's at.
The "Gen4" devices have Zigbee, the "Gen 3" and older are WiFi only.
For a single input, and if you need to cram the thing behind the switch, the 1 mini gen4 ought to do the trick: https://www.shelly.com/products/shelly-1-mini-gen4
Wire to power source, connect switch to "SW" terminal. Onboard the device. Disable the relay in its settings (since you don't need to switch anything).
There are dedicated input-only ones (so you could do up to 4 light switches with one device), but not in a Zigbee version: https://www.shelly.com/products/shelly-i4-gen3
They also have Z-Wave versions.
Shelly provides advanced smart home automation solutions for seamless control of lighting, temperature, and energy. Make your home smarter today.
Thanks! Would that be like the same device as this? https://www.thesmartesthouse.com/collections/light-switches/products/zooz-z-wave-long-range-240v-xs-relay-zen57-800lr?variant=41867919982655
So it basically can disconnect the switch from the outlet, and the switch then just toggles this relay to turn on/off the smart bulbs?

I am also totally fine going with a fully new paddle switch, if there is one that has this functionality built in. So a whole new switch that doesn't actually switch the physical outlet, but toggles what it is digitally connected to.
Looks like it does all of the same things, yes.
Crucially, including that you can disable the output entirely (it's more a cosmetic thing but I find it annoying hearing the relay click behind the light switch, especially if it's not doing anything).
My personal issue with replacing the switches is not being able to match the style of the rest of them, if that's not for you then by all means.
