I'm aware this isn't a supported install, but I'm wondering if anyone has done it and has any setup advice.
I specifically was wondering if I need to worry about the fans cooling enough and if there's a way to setup mpbfan

cant you set the bios to handle fans automatically by temp? i know macs are awful but surely it can do that?

I don't believe there is a bios configuration page..
In order to change anything I'd need to make a bootable macos USB. But I don't know if that's something configurable

oof, so...running that on HAOS is probably not "impossible" but its would be pretty messy and updates would break it etc...
if your that worried about it then could run a regular distro and either virtualise HAOS or run container install
to be fair its probably not going to be under "heavy load" so its probably not an issue.

you can try the System Monitor integration. support can be hit and miss but its definitely worth a go.
