#looking for a UK plug socket like the photo that's compatable with HA

ok so... its not a good idea to replace all sockets with smart sockets.
smart sockets have relays in them. which whilst fine for resistive loads. if you plug inductive loads into them then you may have issues. if you replace all your sockets you will have nowhere to plug in the hoover, drill, etc... when you want to use them. and if you have a couple of normal sockets for the hoover you have to explain to everyone that they cant use the hoover in the smart sockets and they will ask why (and most likely do it anyway when your not looking)
sockets with usb ports on them are kinda okay for cheaper stuff but most of them are not PD and the isolation on them is not great so i wouldnt ever plug anything expensive (e.g. phone) into them.
what is your main purpose of making them smart? switching or power monitoring or both?
there isn't a lot of choice for "good" smart sockets. because they have the various problems. and the ones that are around tend to be white labled Chinese made stuff which their care about these problems doesn't exist.
sure a couple of smart outlets on a desk is probably fine because of the type of things that might be plugged in. but house wide is a bad idea.
My main reason is power monitoring and I have a fear of my house burning down due to an electrical short. It happened to my gran. So I like the idea of being able to just turn my house off, so the only things left on the fridge freezer and the network solution obviously for the HA
smart sockets are definitely a fire risk. for power monitoring you can get non-relay monitors to put behind regular sockets. or you can measure your circuits with ct clamps from the consumer unit. realistically using smart plugs on stuff is the better option if you want to switch them too.
