#How to migrate from Cronbee III to ZBT-2 in Zigbee2MQTT

I just purchased the brand new ZBT-2 ZigBee controller and was really looking forward to upgrading my ZigBee network to it. From the advertisement it seemed like it will only take 2 minutes to do so and I didn't realise that this was in reference to ZHA and not Zigbee2MQTT. I am on Zigbee2MQTT because when I started a couple of years ago devices support was way better on Zigbee2MQTT than on ZHA. I don't know if this has changed now, but wouldn't want to risk it by trying to move to ZHA only to find out that some devices are not supported or miss some important functionality.

So here I am now, clueless how to progress. Official Zigbee2MQTT says migration from Cronbee III to ZBT-2 is not officially supported, but might be possible. The process of migration between other controllers is listed with little details and seems quite complex and fragile.

I have around 90 devices from all kinds of brands and was wondering if anyone has any experience of such migration and could share? I am ok if 90% of devices migrate and there are few that I then need to manually re-add. But it would be a huge pain to have to redo all 90+ devices from scratch if the process completely fails and there is no way back.

Any help would be hugely appreciated.

Anybody with any hints or suggestions?

I did this with my Sonoff stick to an SMLight PoE controller, the GUI of the latter provides a field to override it

I know. But new Nabu Casa ZBT-2 controller doesn't seem to have this feature. So sadly I don't think it would be possible, unless someone could explain to me otherwise.
