Shelly RC button 4 to run HA automation?

Has anyone used any Shelly buttons to trigger HA automations or tasks?
I already have the Shelly integration and my Shelly smart switches appear in the devices and entities, but I can't get the buttons to appear.
I'm guessing because the buttons are Bluetooth only, and not in range of my HA servers Bluetooth.

That said, does anyone have any guidance to put these buttons to use with HA?

I have tons of other smart devices around the buttons that are connected over wifi to my HA.
I the Shelly app, you can use the other Shelly devices to create a Bluetooth mesh. But I can't see any way to use them

enable using your other shelly devices as bluetooth proxies for home assistant if the versions you have support it. that way the buttons signal can get picked up by stuff that is closer and relayed to home assistant.

Ya, they are acting as relays currently. Do you know if that will relay a Bluetooth signal via that relays wifi or will it only relay Bluetooth to Bluetooth?

BT proxies work over wifi

as well as enabling on the device, do you have it enabled for the device in home assistant?

on the shelly integration hit the cog on the device and you can enable passive/active bluetooth proxy there

Ohhh. I Havnt touched that setting in HA. Which should I choose for this? Or will both passive and active work the same for my use case?

for a BLE button passive should work fine. so it probably doesn't matter.

can have fun by sticking a bunch of proxies on active and see what they turn up...

I have a few neighbours toothbrushes sending me data for example 😛

you can visualise it too 😛

if you install bermuda you track which proxy a device is closest too so you can track which room a device (and therefore in some cases person) is in. but this requires quite a lot to be anywhere near accurate. 😛

Enabling it via the Shelly integration worked! Ya Ive been using Bermuda for a while to triggering automations through my house.
Including it tracking my dog's collar.

Where do you get that visualization? Is that part of the Bermuda interface?
