hi guy, I went that way for my esp TRML 7.5" kit from seed studio, work like a charm until last update...
now I got a plain dark screen in place of my lovelace dashboard.
first I did have a look on the computer itself, the dashboard is ok (:8123) but not with (:10000)
fix the deprecated color with new one -> http://192.168.2.3:10000/lovelace/epaper1/0?viewport=800x480&colors=000000,FFFFFF&invert
still black screen
any idea ???

there is an issue on the addons repo mentioning that the user that puppet uses needs to be admin as of a recent update.
could that be your issue?
there is also another issue about a blank page.
