Hello,I'm looking for a cheap device, even if it's somewhat DIY, that will allow me to read pulses.
I need it for my water meter.
I would need to connect a capacitive proximity sensor, which are available in many places on AliExpress.
What I can't find is the battery-powered Zigbee device.
I've found this, which is what I want, but it seems too expensive.

you probably dont need much more than that, i dont know much about pulse sensor wiring but i dont think its that complicated right?

Hehe, well, I've been searching for days and I'm still not sure.
I wanted to see if there was any part or piece that would simplify things.
Any ideas that I might have overlooked?

can get a ESP32-C6 dev board with a header on it which would make it easy to wire to.
most pulse counting projects I have seen are for led flashes on electric meters but I guess its essentially the same concept.
depending on how much time you want to put into the project. this might end up being a case of "just buy the thing that works" though tbh.

That's why I'm asking, I want to see if there's anyone with experience who can play it safe and buy what's needed.
But I'm surprised that after searching for several days, I haven't found anything cheaper than the link.
