Shameless plug, I'm selling some used (great condition, all tested and working) Tasmota lights on Mercari for what amounts to more than 50% off what they cost new (based on actual price, not a marked up value like Philips ). Do you know when they increased their pricings? At least in EU it's illegal to boost prices before deals, there's a 30 day wait cooldown period after changing prices here

only matters if its actually enforced though. (I am in UK and we are similar) most retailers have found ways around it which works mostly because the law hasn't been updated to account for the fact that people buy things on the internet now. (i dont know the specifics around the EU law at this time to be fair)

No, I don't know exactly. Have looked ~1-2 weeks ago and thought 170 is too much... now it's just ridiculous. Anyway there are still retailers selling it for the normal price - without needing to buy 2 items. But I still think I'll go Twinkly instead - just because Hue is overpriced and promotes pseudo-deals 🎄

Tools like camelcamelcamel.com can track item prices. I use it everytime before making a purchase in Amazon to know if it's a real offer or not

the "2PM Gen4" is probably what you want for switching and monitoring power of 2 lighting channels.

Nope, standard ESP8266 Tasmota. Various versions most likely, but I believe all are ≥9.2

I factory reset and applied the template to them months ago, so I don't remember for sure lol
