Hi, I want to replace some Tuya Zigbee switches with Sonoff ZBMINIR2. I connected the Tuya switches as per the instructions, but when I got the Sonoff ones, I see that there is another possibility of connection, leaving S1 without any cable and connecting the rocker switch directly to L as per the third and fourth picture in the second attachment. When I have looked for info in the internet, it looks like this is the standard way. Should I leave then S1 without any cable? What's the difference with both approaches? I have both rocker switches and push switches.

Yup lots of ways to use those. On a couple of mine I don’t use the switch input at all and just use Zigbee to turn it on and off (they are for lav extractor fans and yes I know an inductive load is naughty but in two years I’ve not has a problem). I have two others used more conventionally for LED lights.

I was thinking to use it for my lav extractor too

Just remember to put it inline with the isolation switch so you can still turn it off, and (hopefully you won’t need it) cycle it a few times to re-pair it.
