Hello folks! Hope you’re all well, I don’t suppose anyone has had any luck integration a Dimplex Winterwarm Plinth heater?
It has a terrible Bluetooth remote that I’d love to hook into HA.
I have a M5 Atom Lite as a Bluetooth proxy, although it detects it, I can’t connect to it and control it 🥹🥹🥹🥹

its probably possible but it doesn't look like anyone has done it. you would most likely start be reverse engineering the Bluetooth connection between the remote and the unit. then from there emulate the remote.

Thanks for the reply! I did try LightBlue, could see some “endpoints”, but I wasn’t sure how to reverse engineer properly. I don’t suppose you know any good guides?
I presume the theory is you piggy back and listen to the communication between remote and device, then emulate?

whilst I understand the basic concepts its not something i know a great deal about. however you might try asking over on the ESPHome discord server as there are people there that are more familiar with this type of reverse engineering this kind of thing. they may at least be in a better position to point you in the right direction.
