Hey all, https://www.home-assistant.io/dashboards/actions/ lists all kinds of actions, but it doesn't give examples of how to use them correctly. The example with action: toggle is frankly quite unhelpful. Does anyone know where practical examples of the proper use for the other actions may be found?

The documentation is that general as you can just use it anywhere where you can use action on the dashboard. It even suggests which (standard) cards support it and the UI is able to do most as well.
So what is the real issue? What do you want to do?

My issue with the documentation is that it lacks diversity. It's like when a language teacher teaches you how to order hot soup, but won't tell you how to say "cold soup".
The issue with the configuration I was having was that I couldn't find out how to use the perform_action action, but I ended up not needing it after all.
I still feel there should be at least one example for each of the possible values of the action property.
