Hi, so I have built a bar counter with LED strips. Those are simple LED strips without addressable LEDs. 4 of them. I can always only connect two of them because the pairs are far away from each other. Now I wanna replace the default IR remote sender with a custom controller to use them in HA. I am familiar with programming, should I rather order some ESP32s and build my own MOSFETs and buy a PSU and solder it onto there or use some stuff like Shelly or sth? This is my first thing to integrate with HA, so I do not have a mesh or product family of any kind right now. I wanna keep the option to replace those LED strips with addressables ones in the future. And the last important bit of information, I'd like to do some fast party effects, automation(maybe even music automation in the future) and strobes and quick color changes and so on, so it is important that there is some degree of customizability. What do I use?

WLED is supported in home assistant. For setting up LED's you might take a look at the following discords: https://discord.gg/WWQqBtEn for WLED, https://discord.gg/drzzs and https://discord.gg/MKBRmZ5v for detailed setups and maybe https://discord.gg/2SnvDFdb for syncing with beat/music.
for ir remotes, can't answer that, hope someone can answer this part.. 😉
Sure, thanks a lot for the answer! but that was not what I meant. I am asking if I should rather use ESPs for my case or Shelly or Zigbee stuff
